interesting or engaging to other people, and secondly: the feeling of not being able to write something perfect. I tell you what … You don’t need to be an expert in writing to be successful online, it is actually communicating with your audience via your website,
(in the same way you’re communicating with your friends through emails or through social medias, etc) and build trust with them.
The only thing that you can do to overcome these odd feelings of being incapable to write an interesting or a perfect content is: practice, practiceand practice …
So write your ideas regularly, write frequently, write NOW … and you’ll get over your fear in no time … Believe me, because I was one of them …
Sit down and enjoy when you create and write your content … Don’t restrain yourself and stop worrying … come up with the ideas first and then write it down but please don’t try to perfect your content. Make this your daily habit, and a pleasant one, because it is the foundation to your success in building your long term business on line.
If you are worried about your writing skills, as a member, you can have access to a platform called the Site Content through the SiteRubix menu at Wealthy Affiliate. This platform has some excellent features that can help you writing your contents with more efficiency like real writers do :).
What is Content?
Content is the substance (ideas, topics, statements) in your website, published in the form of text, images, audio or video. It is the essence of your website … It is the main reason that people come to visit your web-pages. Content leads to rankings in search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc … and rankings leads to branding, trust … traffic. Once you have traffic, the opportunity to make money from that traffic is unlimited.
How to write content for your web pages/posts?
Come up with your own ideas. Be original … be creative in building your content and personal brand. To save time, you can get some ideas from other peoples work for content if you want to, and leverage this only as an influence or you can ask for feedback if you need help but DO NOT COPY please!.
If you copy content from other sources and put it on your site, you will not get rankings in the search engines. They will blacklist you for this. No rankings mean no traffic, no traffic mean no conversions, no conversions mean no revenue …
The building out of the pages of your website and the creation of the content (text or video) need to be focused on your audience and niche, providing a QUALITY “taste” there.
What makes a Quality Content?
There is a big difference between just creatingcontent versus creating quality content that carries a substantial benefit and getting a lot of traffic.
Always keep in mind, that there is a reader on the other end … You are writing it for REAL people, who are reading your content, not just for robots or Search Engines. So, you should be creating informative QUALITY CONTENT that is helpful and interesting, with your audience/readers and niche always in mind.
Your goal is to help and inform people and build trust. After you build that trust, that’s when you can start making recommendations and can start earning revenue from your website.
Build your website promoting products/ services within your niche in such a way that is helpful and useful FOR PEOPLE.
4 rules for a Quality Content:
1. Quality Content needs to be easy and pleasant to read, as though you are writing a letter to your friend, explaining the advantages or the disadvantages of some product/ service to them. It needs to attract and hold the attention of your audience. People don’t like to read long and boring articles, so keep your ideas more brief, more straight forward. If you can be captivatingwith your content, they will be interested to stay and read what you have to say.
Start with a captivating title and headings and allow the eyes to have more white space to engage your audience in your content. People that engage in your content will convert.
Place yourself as if you are a visitor (not a writer) opening your website for the very first time, looking for help or information on something … Is your page easy to read? … Is it engaging and giving you a feel of trust?
2. Offer your audience a comprehensive information about the product/ service that you’re going to promote, something that makes someone to have a feel of enough trust and confidence to make a purchasing decision after reading your content.
If you don’t “feed” your audience with sufficient information that can make them be able to decide whether to buy or not to buy a product/service, then they are going to leave your site for sure and continue to do their research somewhere else, which means you will be losing your potensial traffic and hurt your overall rankings …
3. When you create your content, base it on factual information that you can collect from many places in the internet (such as: Product Websites, YouTube, Forums, etc). Present the facts to them and make sure that they are accurate, give them some insight of how the product/ service works, what features are available within the product/ service, is there a free test version, etc … and don’t add stuff up or create a fabricated story……
4. The way you present your content on your pages/posts can make a big difference. Showpeople, not just telling them … Show people using screenshots and relevant images within your content. The more pleasing it is to the eye, the more interesting your content will be and the more people are going to read it …
There is a big difference between showing versus telling something … Showing will have a much greater outcome … It will make your content much more informative and built trust, which leads more conversions!
When you can create QUALITY content whether it’s a page or post on your website, it will be appreciated by Google (or other search engines), because search engines likes very much quality content. This will bring you to better RANKINGS, that attract relevant audience and lead you to more TRAFFIC to your website.
